Cristian Miley

Cristian is an equity-driven educational leader with over 28 years of experience across K–12 schools and district systems. Over his career as a principal, basketball coach, guidance counselor, athletic director, and systems coach, Cristian has helped create the conditions for student success, including dramatically reducing student suspensions and achievement gaps, particularly for students of color and our most vulnerable student communities. 

Cristian specializes in Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS), restorative practices, and leadership development that cultivates inclusive school cultures. He holds a Doctorate in Educational Leadership from San Diego State University. He is known for translating the values of belonging, safety, and equity into practical systems that leaders can sustain.

He currently serves as a Principal, leading a major school transformation at Cesar Chavez Ravenswood Middle School in East Palo Alto. Outside of work, Cristian enjoys cycling, attending concerts, watching sporting events, and spending time with his two daughters while exploring California’s local trails and restaurants.
