Cristian Miley

Cristian Miley is an equity-driven educational leader with over 28 years of experience across K–12 schools and district systems. As a principal, basketball coach, guidance counselor, athletic director, and systems coach, he has helped schools create the conditions for student success, including reducing suspensions and narrowing achievement gaps, particularly for students of color and our most vulnerable student communities.

Cristian specializes in Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS), restorative practices, and leadership development that strengthen inclusive school cultures. He is known for turning the values of belonging, safety, and equity into practical systems that leaders can sustain. He holds a Doctorate in Educational Leadership from San Diego State University. Cristian currently serves as a principal leading significant transformation at Cesar Chavez Ravenswood Middle School in East Palo Alto. Outside of work, he enjoys cycling, concerts, sports, and exploring California’s trails and restaurants with his two daughters.
