Dr. Kristen Brown
Drawing on more than 20 years of experience supporting efforts in pre-kindergarten through 12th grade education, Kristen is an expert in grant writing, program evaluation, and systems support. She currently leads the Office of Learning Supports, where she provides technical assistance to Colorado districts on initiatives such as Multi-Tiered System of Supports, Bullying Prevention, and School Violence Prevention.
Previously, Kristen coordinated statewide efforts at California’s Department of Education to expand support systems, equity initiatives, and whole child resources aligned with Local Control Accountability Plans. She managed a $10M federal grant, a $39M state grant, and numerous contracts supporting district and family partnerships. Additionally, she has two decades of federal grant review experience and has served as Executive Officer for a nonprofit dedicated to supporting disadvantaged populations.
