Kimberley Morris Rosen
Kimberley Morris Rosen is a lawyer, elected school board trustee, and experienced independent school board member. Kimberley is a trusted counselor to legal clients in the education and ed tech space. She provides expert legal advice in areas including employment, contracts, education law, and data privacy. She also works with nonprofits and school boards in setting strategy, reviewing governance documents and procedures, and evaluating leadership. In addition, she offers engaging trainings on legal topics critical to schools, nonprofit organizations, and mission-focused companies.
Previously, she was associate general counsel at AltSchool and special counsel at Emerson Collective. She was also a litigator at two national law firms and served as a law clerk on the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.
Kimberley has been an elected trustee in the Portola Valley School District for over six years. She is also on the Castilleja School Board of Trustees and serves as the President of the Castilleja Alumnae Board. She is a former longtime board member and President of the Windmill School board.
Kimberley earned her undergraduate degree in history from Princeton University and her J.D. from Stanford Law School. She lives in the Bay Area with her husband and four children. She enjoys hiking on the local trails, trying new recipes that only some of her children will eat, and volunteering in her kids’ classrooms.
